Green Wall (2) Signawards

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the (BSGA) architectural sign of the year. The Nestle UK floating feature signage was selected by the British Sign & Graphics Association selection panel. Harrisons are proud to include this project in our portfolio of architectural signs.

Harrisons Signs proudly accepted the Architectural Sign of the Year Award at BSGA’s British Sign Awards on 30th October. The British Sign and Graphics Association launched the awards to recognise creativity and craftsmanship, as well as cutting-edge technological, manufacturing and engineering skills.

The 2014 honour was given for the Living Wall Sign at Nestle’s factory in Tutbury, Staffordshire. As part of Nestle’s major investment at this factory, Harrisons Signs created feature signage of just over 1.75m in height and nearly 10m in length along a living wall that attractively screens the site with thousands of growing plants.

With support from Applelec, Harrisons created built-up letters and the brand’s instantly recognisable bird’s nest logo in mirror polished stainless steel, with an invisible support structure strong enough to safely and practically create the desired effect above the foliage.

Richard Hunter, Harrisons Signs Sales director explains:  “After months of planning and preparation, the installation was incredibly straightforward – as the saying goes, it’s all in the preparation. In the 105 years our business has been running, we have won many accolades but to win such a prestigious award for our work makes us really proud.”
