We are delighted to announce that Jonathan Hailstone has returned to his position as Estimator at Harrisons, just 1 month after he left to pursue other opportunities.

Jonathan originally joined the company in 1999 and during nearly seven years service became an extremely important member of the Harrisons team, putting together complex quotations in a busy sales environment.

To the surprise and disappointment of his work colleagues, Jonathan handed in his notice at the end of 2006 having found a new opportunity in estimating, working for an Easingwold based contractor in an unrelated industry.

A few weeks after the Christmas hoildays, however, Jonathan got back in touch...

"It turned out that my new job was not all I expected it to be. The estimating software systems were nowhere near as advanced as those used by Harrisons, and things just weren't working out. I had accumulated a substantial amount of experience and knowledge about signage and exhibitings during my years with Harrisons, and it seemed foolish not to make the most of that. So I decided to go back!"

Harrisons welcomed Jonathan back with open arms, and just 5 weeks after saying his goodbyes, he was back at his desk in York, preparing for the busy months ahead.

"It' almost as if he was never away" commented Sales Director, Richard Hunter, "and we're over the moon that he has decided to come back. Knowledge of the industry like Jon has takes years to build, and that is not something you can easily replace."
