It’s a wrap!
29th November 2018Have you ever attempted to put a vinyl sticker on your windows, perhaps a Christmas scene or the latest characters that the children would like on their bedroom walls?
Those air bubbles that just won’t go! Vehicle wrapping is just as challenging but with new technologies and a bit of patience we’ve got it down to a fine art.
Alan, one of our Senior Designers and vehicle wrap applicators, recently attended a wrapping course hosted by the William Smith Group in Barnard Castle. William Smith have been experts in this field for many years always looking at innovative ways to improve the application techniques.
Alan said “The course was great, with the learning of new tips, tricks & techniques… how to wrap a door without removing the handles and wrapping a wing mirror! It also covered the do’s & dont’s of the preparation of the digital printed vinyl & laminating process – including gassing off!” Gassing off is a very important part of the preparation process. When the graphics are printed onto the vinyl the ‘solvent gasses’ in the ink need to evaporate, so plenty of time is needed to fully dry before laminating. This ensures the vinyl stays well and truly in place when applied.
If you’d like your car, van or motorcycle wrapping we’re all set for you!
