Thanks to funding from the Friends of York Hospitals the Neurophysiology Department has been able to install conversation-starting illustrations in one of the treatment rooms in York Hospital.
Working with designs and artwork from Tanya McClelland and Inch Punch Design, Harrisons Signs printed the large vinyl graphics and installed them within the treatment room.
The illustrations brighten the room, making it feel less clinical and more welcoming for their younger patients and their families. Neurophysiology Manager, Joanne Horrocks, initiated the project and is already seeing the benefits, “the art work is helping children to focus their attention when (and where) we need them to, this in turn helps us to get the best EEG recording we can.”
