Marketing Executive

About the role

We’re looking for a creative Marketing Executive to proactively market Harrisons through all the marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role together with an understanding or willingness to learn about digital marketing. You will also be a self-starter, motivated and have excellent written communication skills, great attention to detail and have strong MS Office skills.

The role involves:

  • Review and update the Marketing Strategy in line with external factors
  • Plan, develop and implement effective marketing communication campaigns
  • Writing copy for all marketing collateral including; brochures, letters, emails, newsletters and our website
  • Manage the Marketing Plan
  • Update the website content through WordPress CMS
  • Setting up and monitoring PPC campaigns
  • Manage the Social Media content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to their presentation and promotion
  • Maximising our sponsorship partnership with York City Knights
  • Google analytics – Measuring results and adapting content as necessary
  • Database Management – keeping this updated following feedback from mailings and in line with GDPR regulations

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ marketing or copywriting experience would be beneficial
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Comfortable working with the full marketing mix
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms, LinkedIn and Twitter in particular
  • Excellent organisational skills to work independently and manage a range of projects to completion
  • Ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data and spot trends

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Degree in Marketing or CIM qualifications would be an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge of web-based software Mail Chimp
  • Bonus skills include lead generation, email marketing, content marketing, SEO and PPC, website CMS (WordPress)
