Harrisons Signs were asked to design and create an innovative exhibition and conferencing area for the Unipart Rail’s headquarters in Doncaster.

The UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) recently launched a new Technology and Innovation Hub at Unipart Rail’s headquarters in Doncaster. The new hub was commissioned in order to support the sector in developing the next generation of products and services, as well as researching strategic industry challenges. The hub aims to focus on supporting SMEs, both new and established.

Harrisons Signs were asked to design and create an innovative exhibition and conferencing area within Jupiter House in Doncaster. The designs have a linear and monochromatic feel to the displays, following the brief given by UKRRIN. Eight areas have been created for the four main centres: Network Rail, University of Birmingham, Southampton and Huddersfield, as well as a walkway through the central section. Harrisons were responsible for transforming all eight areas. Feature circular LED soffits have been flown above each area and RGB LED lighting installed in the display area. Each section has been designed to provide a space to showcase different fields of expertise. For this, we installed display cases with storage areas that contain two 75” AV screens each.

The entire venture was designed, manufactured and project managed by Harrisons Signs using CAD design. High quality materials have been used throughout the project, to ensure a bespoke final result. The job involved laying new Egger laminate flooring throughout the hub, as well as printing and installing large format wall graphics and signage right the way through the area – from the entrance foyer to the innovation centre itself.
